Sun Rivers is a community located on the northeastern side of Kamloops on the Kamloops Indian Band Reserve against Mount Peter and Mount Paul. It is located east on Highway 5 near the junction with the Trans Canada Highway. It is developed around the Sun Rivers golf course and has over 500 residences.

There are a number of different communities within Sun Rivers. Ironwood, Canyon Ridge, Mariposa, Sillaro Estates, Trillium and Visao Estates. There are currently no grocery stores or retail services in Sun Rivers. There is a restaurant at the Clubhouse called Bighorn Bar & Grill. There is shopping nearby in Valleyview and the big box stores in Sahali and Aberdeen are just a quick 5 minute drive up the highway.

Sun Rivers residents can attend a number of different schools so it's best to contact the SD73 School Board and discuss options with them.
