Sun Peaks is a mountain resort municipality 55 kilometres northeast of Kamloops. It was incorporated on June 28, 2010. It is built around Sun Peaks Resort. Sun Peaks is Canada's second largest ski resort with 16 square kilometres of skiable terrain and 137 runs on three mountains. Sun Peaks receives an average of 18ft of snow each year. It is a four season resort and in the summer is home to many activities for the whole family. There is mountain biking, hiking, 18 hole golf course, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking and so much more. The village hosts many hotels, restaurants and retail stores.

This community driven educational program blends distributed learning and our own classroom facilitator teachers to offer the B.C. curriculum here in our community.
