Marina
Tobiano's public marina to be operational at the commencement of the 2011 boating season on the shore of Kamloops Lake will offer Tobiano and Kamloops residents preferential mooring privileges and access to twenty miles of Kamloops Lake shoreline and ample surface area for power-boating, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. Phase 1 works include 124 boat slips in 25- and 30-foot configurations with 990 lineal feet of dock extensions and headers. The marina basin will be sheltered by two expansive 500-foot floating breakwaters, constructed of concrete and wood. The existing trestle, observation deck, boat launch and fuel dock will
be incorporated within the protected marina basin. Owners of real estate at Tobiano will be offered an opportunity to lease slip space each year but the marina will also cater to Kamloops and Okanagan residents with daily launch options.
